Surf Reports & ForecastsWe are giving our best surf forecasts for Tofino and Long Beach areas. The funny thing about forecasting is that things can shift quickly. North Chesterman may look good on paper but the action's at South when you see the real thing. So, use the forecasts as guides but trust your intuition, it's right more often than you give it credit for.

Tofino Winter Surfing - Colder Water, Bigger Swells
Monday February 06 Tofino Surf
Windy at South Chesterman until noon and then three stars for the day. North Chesterman, Cox Bay and Long Beach give us five stars until noon and then four until dark. Another great day for surf in Tofino and the Park.

Tuesday February 07 Tofino Surf
Not bad but just two stars and wind at South Chesterman Beach. Five big stars at North Chesterman, Cox Bay and Long Beach all day long. Probably the best time though will be up to 1pm, but all day rocks.

Wednesday February 08 Tofino Surf
Wind today at South Chesterman Beach. Interesting over at North Chesterman and Cox Bay with best surf 8-10am when it's four stars with a touch of wind. Surf conditions drop on star to 3pm and then another star for the rest of the day. Long Beach rocks five stars 8-10am, then four stars til dark. These conditions can be big and strong in winter so surf safely and we all win.

Oh South Chesterman we love you but conditions always have to be right with you and today it's blah and wind. But no worries because the call comes from North Chesterman and Cox Bay where you'll find five stars all day. Long Beach loads up with five stars until 10am and then four star surf for the rest of the day.

About Tofino Surfing Beaches: North -> South
MacKenzie Beach - Rarely has surf but sometimes some small waves can roll in - usually in the winter
North Chesterman Beach - Good surf depending
on wind, really picks up in winter.
Also known as North Chestie or North C.
South Chesterman Beach - Good surf depending
on wind, popular hang out spot. Fun spot for families too.
Also known as South Chestie or South C.
Cox Bay Beach - Stronger surf than other beaches
in summer and often in winter too. Bigger, harder waves.
The North end is where you'll find the experienced surfers tricking out on the waves.
There's also a middle section where beginners can ride the white water and get their first surf rush.
Cox bay includes the Cox Rocks (North section) and Cox Sauce (Mid beach) areas.
Long Beach - Lots of space and good waves, fun for everyone. Need a vehicle. In the Pacific Rim National Park.
Wickanninish Beach - Can be good surf here, ask locals advice cause can be big and rippy.
