River Otters are smart, cute and playful animals that live in Tofino. These otters were hanging out at the Tofino dock downtown eating some fish they had caught. We see otters a lot in the inlet when we're just hanging outlooking over to Meares Island or kayaking the calm waters of the inlets. One day we looked out of our kitchen window and saw them playing in the yard. We like them and enjoy any sighting we get. The are just so cute! And they love to tease our little jack russells as they swim past.
