GoTofino's board for the Tonquin Park boardwalk.
Citizens and businesses of Tofino have raised money for the new Tonquin Boardwalk that goes down to beautiful Tonquin Beach. Boards for the boardwalk section were purchased by many people in town and each one carved their own message into them.
Above is GoTofino's board. What does it mean? Well, like many phrases, you are welcome to make of it what you will. Here at GoTofino we believe water is one of the most important's gifts from nature that we have: we respect and honour it. We've even chose it as our GoTofino symbol - a Japanese Kanji character for water. The water character is very similar to the tree character, so we thought it perfect - beauituful and meaningful.
