Ferry Traffic and Canadian Holiday Travel
Remember that traveling on or around these dates can be busy. Be sure to book ahead. Ferry traffic can increase dramatically at these times. Reservations may be advisable. Or take some extra time around these dates and stay for a few more days on our beautiful west coast in Tofino or Ucluelet. You'll be glad you did!
Enjoy a BC Ferries Trip to Vancouver Island from two locations: one north and one south of the city of Vancouver. Check out the GoTofino rack cards while on the ferry.
BC Ferries will land either near the City of Victoria on the south end of the Island or in the City of Nanaimo mid-island. It is a five hour drive from Victoria and a three hour drive from Nanaimo to the West Coast. Bus transportation is also available from both cities.
